Baby Shower #1

I am so stoked about going to Johnstown, Pennsylvania today. Tomorrow Steve's mom is throwing me a baby shower! It's not about all the gifts (although they do help...we are already learning how expensive babies are and Emmalee isn't even here yet!), but it's such a nice gesture and I do love social parties. I got a cute new pink necklace to wear with a black sundress since the baby is a she.

Steve checked one of our registries yesterday and we had 3 more things purchased off of one of them! I told him not to tell me what they were so that it could be a surprise. He did tell me that they weren't the big ticket, expensive items that we had left, but no bigie. I'm just excited that we're getting a few things we asked for.

Now, I just have to remember all of Steve's relatives names...we only see them 1-2x a year at most and there were so many of them last time at the reception/homecoming that Sylvia (Steve's mom) that I had to politely ask them a few times who was who.

For those of you reading this who are from the North, don't be offended when I say this but:
This Southern gal is heading to Yankeetown! ;-)
