I'm 37 weeks today!!! Yay!!! No signs of labor that I can tell yet...
I still have so much school work that I want to try to get done before Emmalee comes, so I'm praying that it's not for a couple of weeks. But more than anything I'm just praying for a healthly baby. In the end, an incomplete isn't the end of the world, but life is more precious than anything. Steve gets home on Friday...so it's ok if Emmalee comes anytime after that.
A Georgia Peach turned Navy wife rambling about life as I chase 2 kids, pursue a liscense in counseling, love my husband to pieces, and grow in my faith of the Father.

Joy and Brent visit & Emmalee's room
Last week my sister Joy (or as I affectionately call her Sissy) and her husband Brent came to visit for a couple of days last week while on their 3 week break from school. It was so good to see them! (It has been since May that I got to see them). We mostly just hung out, ran errands together, but we did manage to eat one super yummy meal at PF Chang's last Thursday evening. It was hard to say goodbye to Joy, Brent, and their two cute doggies Munson (their new addition, an English Bulldog and Gidget, a Pomeranian). Courtney loved playing with Munson...in fact I think she was depressed all day Friday when they left.

Baby Shower at Work (Atlantic Shores Baptist Church)
Wednesday October 8, 2008 @ 10am the lovely girls that I work with (paid & volunteer) in the children's ministry threw me an incredible baby shower! Everything was so gorgeous: the tables, arrangements/decor (in Emmalee's room colors) (flower and homemade with decorative paper, diaper cake, even the fruit was in a baby carriage cut out from a watermelon!), the food (and it was yummy too!), the favors, and the gifts...I could go on and on.
I am so blessed to have all of these women in my life. It will be hard to transition from working here where I started as the intern 2 years ago, to know being part-time staff and part of the team (and getting paid!). But Steve and I really feel like it is the right decision to be there for Emmalee while she is in her first years and for me to be able to finish grad school.
Thank you Mendy, April, Janita, Denise, Jessica, Jayne, Sheila, and Connie!
PS: I'm at 35 weeks!

Maternity Pictures @ 34 weeks
Saturday, October 4th Steve and I had some maternity photos taken by our good friend Stephen Kinstler (his website is: www.vabeachweb.com) at First Landing State Park in Va Beach in the woods and on the beach. It was so much fun! We used several different props that I brought to make the the pictures extra special such as: homemade baby booties, baby Steeler's jersey, University of Georgia booties/socks, and some block letters that spelled out our daughter's name. I left my battery for my own camera at home charging so I couldn't get a picture of me and Steve together that night, but I did get Steve to take one of me with my new white maternity button up shirt that I wore for the shoot at home when we got back from dinner at Kinncaid's...it was so yummy!
I'll let you know when we get the proofs and direct to his site to see them. :-)
